There was a special event in Vastpark yesterday. It was called Virtual Worlds Down Under (VWDU). It was recorded by Second Life Communication Network (SLCN).

We did a short presentation about our project along with others such as Badumna and RMIT. I thought the overall presentations were fantastic and both organizations have a lot to offer through their projects. They were followed up by Vastpark’s second Master Class session.

My challenge was I felt like I choked on my own presentation and did not do as well as I would have liked to. I had written out what I wanted to say but when I got up to the virtual podium and began to go through my slides, it kind of fell apart. I was so busy trying to make sense of the blurred PowerPoint images that I ended up more “winging it” than staying with the script. Aw well, it was a learning experience for me. I won’t get so distracted next time by what I cannot control.

All in all, I am glad to have had the opportunity to speak and to have met some great new people among the presenters. The Vastpark Team put on a great show.
