Planet Postmoderna Blog

Planet Postmoderna is an “organic” (community-based) and an indie project. It is being built one brick and one dollar at a time through sponsorships, our community and our team. In plain language, I am doing this on our own and to prove that it can be done. Right now, I am just building the scenes to convey the story more effectively and create interest in the project.:)

It has always been a dream of mine to write stories that can be something that people can experience in ways more that just watching a movie or reading a book. I wanted them to experience them. The medium of Virtual worlds makes this possible.

Current Project Funding Objectives

The current funding requirement is to set up the LLC for the project. Project members and investors will all own shares in the end planet. The estimated cost for filing the LLC forms is about $100 US. If you would like to contribute to this, we would greatly appreciate your support. DONE!!! Finished on 9.02.2011

We are also exploring membership on Funded.com. If you know anything about this service (good and bad) please let us know.

After that our primary funding goal will be to raise $250K for Year 1 operating capital. Next is year 2 and launch (about $750K). Overall project budget (including marketing) is $2.1 million.

Individual Items Needed (stay tuned as this develops more).

1) Unity 3D Pro. The Pro version of Unity 3D ($1500) would allow us to use Shadows and Lighting effects to create a more realistic atmosphere. Currently I am using the free Indie version. OR…$4000 to license Esenthel.

2) $35K for funding of design team and hardware and support. Includes running server in the “cloud.”
